U.S.


On March 18, Con Edison, which supplies electricity and gas to 3.5 million customers, said that for every 300 kilowatt-hours of electricity used by New York residents in January, the electricity bill they needed to pay soared to $123.65 in January, up from $82.8 in December. up to 50%.


According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the average unit price of household electricity in 2022 will be 14.31 cents (about 0.96 yuan) per kilowatt-hour, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%. The average household uses about 900 kWh of electricity per month, which will add about $60 a year.


U.K.


From 12:00 to 13:00 on July 20th, the highest price of cross-border electricity transactions via the Nemo interconnection system of the UK grid reached £9,724.54/MWh, setting the highest price ever paid for imported electricity in the UK. This figure is about 55 times the average domestic electricity price (excluding tax) in the UK for the whole of 2020, and 46 times the monthly average price in the UK day-ahead market from January to March this year.


Forward electricity prices in the UK have also skyrocketed, soaring to £1,000/MWh from £242/MWh in June.


UK utilities were pushed up to a record £9,724.54 ($11,685) per megawatt-hour, which is 5,000% higher than the average price of £178 ($215) per megawatt-hour.


Italy


From June 27 to July 3, the average GME electricity purchase price was 362.05 EUR/MWh, up 34.51 EUR/MWh from the previous week.


Singapore


On June 30, Singapore's household electricity bill for the next quarter will increase by an average of 8.1% month-on-month. After the price increase, the electricity bill excluding the 7% consumption tax will be 30.17 cents per kilowatt-hour, the highest price since January 2009. This is also the sixth consecutive quarter of rising electricity bills.


Sri Lanka


On August 9, Sri Lanka's largest state-owned power company, the Ceylon Electricity Authority, announced that it will carry out its first major price increase in nine years from the 10th to make up for its accumulated losses of up to 616 million US dollars.


Two-thirds of the 7.8 million households using less than 90 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month saw their electricity bills increase by as much as 264 percent, while those who used more electricity paid about 80 percent more. For users with the least power consumption, the charge will be raised to Rs 8 per unit from the current Rs 2.5. Consumers who consume more electricity will be charged from Rs 45 to Rs 75 per unit.


Belgium

Sweden


On August 17, on the Nordic Power Exchange market, the electricity price in southern Sweden reached a record high of SEK 5.69 per kilowatt-hour, or about RMB 3.71.


Denmark


On the evening of August 17, the price of electricity in Denmark hit a record high in local time. The price of 1 kilowatt-hour (1 kilowatt-hour of electricity) reached 8.42 Danish kroner (about 7.81 yuan). According to the Danish national electricity data, this is 12 years. highest level.


Finland


On August 24, Finnish Minister of Economy Lintila posted the price list of electricity bills, which shows that the current price of electricity used by Lintila’s family is 49 euro cents (about 3.36 yuan) per kWh, compared with the previous price per kWh. At the price of 8.7 euro cents (about 0.6 yuan), the electricity price soared by 463%.


Spain


On August 24, electricity prices in Spain will skyrocket again by 20% to €436/MWh.


France Germany


On August 26, the basic load electricity price delivered in France next year reached 1,130 euros/MWh, the first time in history that it exceeded 1,000 euros, an intraday increase of 25%, and an electricity price increase of about 10 times compared with last year.


Germany rose 33% on the day to 995 euros / MWh, and the recent cumulative increase is about 70%.


On August 26, the electricity price in France has reached 1020 euros/MWh, and the electricity price in Germany has also reached 855 euros/MWh. On the same day last year, electricity prices in France and Germany were both around €87/MWh.


On August 27, electricity prices in France rose to €1,130/MWh and in Germany to €995/MWh. Converted, the French electricity is 1.13 euros (about 7.74 yuan), and the French electricity is 0.995 euros (about 6.8 yuan). Compared with the same period last year, electricity prices in France have risen by about 13 times, and electricity prices in Germany have risen by more than 11 times.


South Korea


On August 27, the Korea Electric Power Company stated that in the third quarter, the linked fuel adjustment fee in each kilowatt-hour of electricity bills will be increased by 5 won (about 0.03 yuan). Assuming that the monthly electricity consumption of a four-person household is 307 kWh, the monthly electricity bill will be increased by about 1,535 won.


Japan


As of August, Tokyo's electricity bills rose for 12 consecutive months. In August, the price for ordinary households increased by about 250 yen compared with July, to about 9,120 yen (about 459.3 yuan), an increase of 30% in one year. Central Japan Electric Power also raised the price by about 230 yen to about 8,750 yen (about 440.7 yuan).
