National Energy Administration: In 2021, my country's new wind and solar installations will exceed 100 million kilowatts

On January 25, the latest data released by the National Energy Administration showed that in 2021, the newly installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in my country will exceed 100 million kilowatts, achieving a good start to the development of the "14th Five-Year Plan".

Data show that in 2021, the newly installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in my country will reach 101 million kilowatts, of which wind power will increase by 47.57 million kilowatts and photovoltaic power generation will increase by 52.97 million kilowatts. From the perspective of development, offshore wind power will emerge in 2021, with an additional installed capacity of 16.9 million kilowatts throughout the year, which is 1.8 times the total built-up capacity previously. Outstanding, the annual newly installed capacity is about 29.2 million kilowatts, accounting for about 55% of the newly installed photovoltaic capacity; the construction of the first batch of large-scale wind power photovoltaic base projects of about 100 million kilowatts is progressing steadily, and about 75 million kilowatts have been started.
